According to the organizers of the Eskom Expo Regional Science Fair, hosted at CUT Welkom, a total of 116 learners from 23 Lejweleputswa schools, showcased 95 innovative projects in engineering, energy, and social sciences. The most popular categories by entries were Engineering (32), Energy (17) and Social Sciences (16). A total of 17 gold, 27 silver and 36 bronze medals were awarded, along with several special honours.
Selected achievers will compete in the prestigious Eskom Expo International Science Fair (ISF), facing top, young scientists from across South Africa and the world.
