Welkom’s law enforcers and community protectors honoured

The Welkom Community Police Forum (CPF) earned 3rd place for Community Police Forum of the Year at the Annual Free State Provincial Excellence Awards held in Parys. The CPF was represented at the ceremony by Chairman Dirk Kotze and Public Relations Officer Elizabeth Nunes.

At the same event, Welkom SAPS Station received 2nd place for Station of the Year. This award recognises the strong leadership of station commander Brigadier Disebo Cezula, and the combined efforts of all station members in providing effective and professional policing.

The awards highlighted the hard work, teamwork, and commitment of both the Welkom CPF and SAPS in improving safety and service delivery in the community. It also acknowledges the Welkom CPF’s meaningful contribution to fostering cooperation between the community and law enforcement.
